Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with senior BJP leaders Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and JP Nadda, attended a crucial National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting in Parliament on Monday. According to Mint, the meeting comes amid speculation around political manoeuvres under what has been dubbed “Operation Sindoor Mahadev,” aimed at reaching out to opposition MPs.

NDA Passes Resolution in Support of Government’s Agenda

During the meeting, the NDA unanimously passed a resolution reaffirming the alliance’s commitment to good governance, development, and providing a stable administration. Prime Minister Modi addressed the leaders of allied parties, stressing the importance of unity and cooperative functioning in the current political climate. Leaders from key NDA constituents including JD(U), LJP (Ram Vilas), Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), and TDP were present.

Operation Sindoor Mahadev Remains Unconfirmed but Central to Political Buzz

Though there was no official statement on Operation Sindoor Mahadev, it remained a central theme of political discussions surrounding the meeting. The so-called operation is reportedly an attempt by the BJP to reach out to MPs from the opposition INDIA bloc. These developments follow speculation of possible defections and realignments, but no confirmations have been made public by BJP or NDA leaders.

BJP Holds Separate Strategy Meeting

Earlier in the day, a separate BJP Parliamentary Party meeting was held, where Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda reviewed internal coordination and strategies for the ongoing session. Prime Minister Modi did not attend this preliminary meeting but focused instead on the broader NDA alliance discussions.

No Clarity on Floor Test or Confidence Motion

There was no reference to a possible floor test or confidence motion in Parliament during the NDA meeting. However, the show of strength by the NDA, with all alliance partners present, was seen as a message of internal cohesion and preparedness for any political developments that may arise in the coming days.
