Tesla has taken a bold leap forward in its India strategy by opening its second experience centre—this time in Delhi’s Aerocity neighborhood. Located in the Worldmark 3 complex near the Indira Gandhi International Airport, this new showroom underscores Tesla’s commitment to capturing the booming demand for electric mobility in India.

A Strategic Expansion in India’s EV Landscape

Just weeks after inaugurating its first showroom in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex, Tesla has continued its rapid rollout by launching in Delhi on August 11, 2025. Nestled in the high-end Worldmark 3 complex, the showroom occupies approximately 8,200 sq ft, secured under a nine-year lease at a starting rate of ₹17.22 lakh per month, with scheduled rental escalations every 36 months

What Visitors Can Expect at the Delhi Experience Centre

At this upscale facility, prospective customers can engage with the Tesla Model Y—presented in two variants tailored for the Indian market:

  • Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD): Equipped with a 60 kWh battery, this version delivers a WLTP-certified range of approximately 500 km and accelerates from 0–100 km/h in roughly 5.9 seconds.
  • Long-Range RWD (LR RWD): Featuring a larger 75 kWh battery, it achieves up to 622 km on a single charge and completes 0–100 km/h in about 5.6 seconds. Both variants have a top speed electronically capped at 201 km/hPricing starts from ₹59.89 lakh ex-showroom for the RWD and ₹67.89 lakh for the LR RWD in Delhi. The optional Full Self-Driving (FSD) package is available for an additional ₹6 lakh, pending regulatory approval

Charging Infrastructure and Sales Reach

Mirroring the setup in Mumbai, the Delhi showroom includes four V4 Superchargers capable of delivering up to 250 kW DC charging—boosting range by up to 267 km in 15 minutes. These units are currently exclusive to Tesla owners, with phased public access anticipated

Booking for the Model Y is accessible via Tesla’s India portal and through showrooms in Mumbai, Delhi, and Gurugram, with deliveries expected to kick off in Q3 2025

Why This Move Matters

  1. Market Penetration: Opening a showroom in Delhi—India’s political and commercial hub—extends Tesla’s reach and visibility significantly beyond its initial footprint in Mumbai.
  2. Comprehensive Buyer Engagement: The experience centre offers hands-on vehicle demos, test drives, specs walkthroughs, infotainment previews, and charging solutions—all in one space.
  3. Building a Premium EV Ecosystem: By pairing showrooms with rapid-charging infrastructure, Tesla strengthens its premium positioning against competitors like BMW’s i-series, Mercedes-Benz’s EQ lineup, and BYD’s premium range

Final Thoughts

With Tesla’s Delhi Aerocity showroom now operational alongside its Mumbai counterpart, the automaker is quickly scaling its India expansion, enhancing accessibility to its flagship electric SUV, the Model Y. Priced from ₹59.89 lakh (RWD) and ₹67.89 lakh (LR RWD) with an optional FSD package, Tesla is delivering a premium EV experience backed by fast charging and immersive customer outreach.

As Tesla India expansion, Model Y India, and Delhi EV showroom dominate the conversation, this launch positions Tesla firmly at the forefront of India’s electric vehicle revolution.
