Tata Motors has launched a new Adventure X persona for the popular Harrier SUV, priced at ₹18.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The upgraded Adventure X+ variant comes in at ₹19.34 lakh. These newly introduced trims replace the outgoing Adventure and Adventure+ variants, offering buyers improved value and a more simplified lineup.
Improved Value and Simplified Lineup
As part of Tata’s 2025 refresh strategy, the Harrier now comes with six clear personas—Smart, Pure X, Adventure X, Adventure X+, Fearless X, and Fearless X+. The newly launched Adventure X variants bring in a better feature-to-price ratio and reflect Tata’s push toward cleaner variant structures. Introductory prices are valid until October 31, 2025, and deliveries have already begun across India.
Bold Styling & Interior Transformation
The Adventure X sports a fresh Seaweed Green exterior paint, exclusive to this trim. It gets 17-inch alloy wheels and a rugged, purposeful look. Inside, Tata has introduced a dual-tone Onyx Trail theme with black and tan accents on the dashboard, steering, seats, and door trims. The panoramic sunroof, dual 10.25-inch digital screens, and premium leatherette touches enhance the visual and tactile appeal of the cabin.
Feature Upgrades: Adventure X vs. Adventure X+
Adventure X features include:
- 360° surround-view camera
- Powered Ergo Lux driver seat with memory and welcome function
- Auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers
- Six airbags and electronic stability control
- 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- Multi-drive modes (City, Sport, Eco)
The higher-end Adventure X+ adds even more:
- ADAS Level 2 suite (available only with the automatic)
- Adaptive cruise control
- Electronic parking brake with auto-hold
- Rear disc brakes
- Slight changes such as smaller 17-inch alloys (down from 18-inch) and removal of front parking sensors to keep pricing aggressive

Engine & Transmission Options
Both Adventure X variants continue to use Tata’s 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine, delivering 170 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Notably, the new variants are priced ₹55,000 to ₹1.7 lakh lower than the older Adventure trims, making them even more attractive in terms of features and cost.
Why This Launch Matters
The Adventure X launch strengthens Tata’s position in the competitive SUV segment by offering high-end features like ADAS, panoramic sunroof, and premium interiors at sub-₹20 lakh pricing. It caters to modern SUV buyers who want a balance of tech, safety, and design without entering the full luxury bracket.
This new persona approach also eliminates confusion around trim levels, making it easier for customers to choose the variant that best suits their needs.
Final Thoughts
The new Tata Harrier Adventure X and Adventure X+ variants offer an ideal blend of performance, style, and advanced features. With bold new design elements, premium interior upgrades, and a streamlined pricing structure, Tata Motors continues to make a compelling case for the Harrier in India’s mid-size SUV market.
If you’re looking for a feature-packed diesel SUV under ₹20 lakh with strong road presence and advanced tech, the Adventure X persona is a top contender.
