Embracing learnings from Punjab Agricultural University, he became an early adopter of polyhouse farming, shifting away from traditional wheat and paddy cultivation. Under his stewardship, the farm rapidly became more profitable—earning between ₹8 to 10 lakh per acre, which far outstripped average regional returns.
