The results for the prestigious JEE Advanced 2025 examination were declared today by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur on the official website www.jeeadv.ac.in. The top spot this year has been claimed by Rajit Gupta from the IIT Delhi zone, who secured All India Rank 1 with an outstanding score of 332 out of 360 marks. The result has come as a culmination of months of rigorous preparation by lakhs of engineering aspirants across the country.
A total of 1,80,422 candidates appeared for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of the JEE Advanced 2025, out of which 54,378 candidates have successfully qualified. Among these, 9,404 female candidates made it to the merit list, marking a steady increase in gender representation. The top-ranked female candidate is Devdutta Majhi from the IIT Kharagpur zone, who achieved AIR 16 with a score of 312 marks, reflecting the rising competitiveness and academic excellence among female aspirants.
This year, the minimum qualifying marks for inclusion in the rank list stood at 74 for the Common Rank List (CRL), translating to 20.56% of the total score. For the OBC-NCL and GEN-EWS categories, the cut-off was set at 66 marks, while it stood at 37 for SC and ST candidates. Students in the PwD category needed to score a minimum of 25 marks to qualify.

Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access their scorecards by logging onto jeeadv.ac.in using their roll number, date of birth, and registered mobile number. The scorecard includes a detailed breakdown of Paper 1 and Paper 2 marks, aggregate score, and category-wise rank.
With the declaration of results, the focus now shifts to JoSAA Counselling 2025, which begins from June 3 at 5 PM. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the centralized counselling process for admissions into IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). Eligible candidates must register on the JoSAA website and fill in their preferred choices of institutes and branches. The counselling process will include multiple rounds of seat allocation, based on candidate ranks, preferences, and availability.
The JEE Advanced examination is considered one of the toughest engineering entrance exams in the world, and qualifying it is a dream come true for many aspiring engineers. For Rajit Gupta and thousands of other successful candidates, today marks the beginning of a new academic journey toward India’s premier engineering institutions.
