According to IPL rules, if the match is completely abandoned due to rain, the team that finished higher in the league stage standings will advance to the final. In case of any interruptions, IPL has a rule that allows the use of Super Over to determine the winner—provided even a five-over-per-side game can be completed. If not a single ball is bowled and no Super Over is possible, PBKS will move ahead by default.
