KTM India has unveiled the 160 Duke, marking its most affordable naked streetfighter yet. Priced at ₹1.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the motorcycle ushers KTM into the coveted 160 cc segment, challenging competitors like the Yamaha MT-15 and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.

Most Powerful in Its Class

At its core, the 160 Duke houses a 164.2 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, derived from the 200 Duke. It delivers around 19 hp at 9,500 rpm and 15.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm—claims that position it as the most powerful motorcycle in India’s 160 cc class.

Lightweight and Agile

Despite its muscle, the motorcycle tips the scales at a modest 147 kg kerb weight, offering one of the best power-to-weight ratios among its rivals.

Rigidity and Ride Quality via Premium Hardware

KTM has equipped the 160 Duke with its signature premium components. It runs on a split trellis frame, paired with WP Apex upside-down front forks and a rear WP monoshock for composed handling. The wheelbase spans 1,357 mm, balancing agility with stability.

Braking, Lighting, and Safety

Stopping power comes from a 320 mm front disc and 230 mm rear disc, backed by dual-channel ABS. The bike also features all-LED lighting for visibility and style.

Connectivity & Instrumentation

The motorcycle includes a 5-inch LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, allowing turn-by-turn navigation, call/music control, and integration with KTM’s Connected App.

Ergonomics & Practical Dimensions

With a seat height of 815 mm and ground clearance of 174 mm, the 160 Duke is comfortably accessible while still delivering impressive control. The fuel tank capacity stands at 10.1 litres, offering a practical riding range.

Buyers can choose from three colour options: Electronic Orange, Atlantic Blue, and Silver Metallic Matte. KTM is also offering a 10-year extended warranty, extending peace of mind for riders.

Bookings & Deliveries

Bookings are already open via KTM dealerships and the official KTM India website, with deliveries expected to begin shortly.

Rivalry with Yamaha MT-15: On Paper Match-Up
