Ayodhya’s iconic Ram Mandir is once again in the spotlight as a magnificent gold-plated Shikhara was installed atop the sanctum, just ahead of the temple’s much-awaited second Pran Pratishtha ceremony. This grand addition marks a new chapter in the temple’s architectural journey, symbolizing spiritual power, prosperity, and devotion.

The installation of the golden spire, crafted with intricate precision, stands 161 feet tall, making it a defining feature of the temple skyline. The dazzling gold dome is already attracting thousands of visitors, becoming a beacon of faith and tradition.

The second Pran Pratishtha ceremony, taking place from June 3 to June 5, 2025, is dedicated to the consecration of additional deities in six smaller temples located on the temple’s ramparts. It will also include the formal installation of the Ram Darbar on the temple’s first floor — a sacred space that will house idols of Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman.

Celebrations began with a divine Kalash Yatra, where 108 urns of holy Saryu water were carried by devotees — including a large number of women — through Ayodhya’s iconic spots like Lata Chowk and Rampath, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere.

The temple trust has confirmed that these newly sanctified sections of the temple will be open to devotees shortly after the June 5 ceremony. This second phase of the Pran Pratishtha comes months after the historic first consecration ceremony led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in January 2024, which drew global attention.

With the golden Shikhara gleaming under the Ayodhya sun and a series of sacred events underway, the Ram Mandir continues to evolve as a symbol of India’s spiritual heritage and architectural excellence. The upcoming ceremonies are expected to draw massive footfall, with preparations in full swing to welcome devotees from across the country.

As Ayodhya steps deeper into its role as a national and international pilgrimage hub, the Ram Mandir is not just a religious site — it’s a living embodiment of cultural pride, divine legacy, and architectural brilliance.
